Missouri Valley Eagles 3876 History
The Fraternal Order of Eagles were first established in Missouri Valley in October 1939. The first aerie lasted only about a year and half. It was closed at the beginning of WWII. All records were transfered to Council Bluffs, IA.
The second aerie was established on September 16, 1979 with 186 members on it's charter. It was one of the largest charters up until that time. Floyd and Viola Ruppert from Fremont, NE. Aerie and Auxiliary were our organizors. Maurice "Moe" Foland a member in the Blair, NE. aerie was also insturmental in getting this new aerie started.
The first few years were spent renting the American Legion Club building. In 1982 the Aerie purchased the Missouri Valley Roller Rink and we have occupied that building every sense.
